CUC's Licences

CUC operates the only public electrical utility in Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands.

On April 3, 2008, CUC entered into new Generation and Transmission and Distribution (T&D) Licences with the Government of the Cayman Islands. Links to the Licences and associated Main Agreement are set out below:

Prior to April 3, 2008, CUC operated pursuant to a 25-year exclusive Licence with the Government of the Cayman Islands under the provisions of Section 6 of The Cayman Islands Electricity Law 1974. This Licence was granted by the Government of the Cayman Islands in January 1986 and amended by a Supplementary Licence executed in October 1989 and Further Supplementary Licence executed in November 1994.
