How to Read Your Bill

Your Electric Bill


    Service Address, Account Number, Cycle, Bill Date, Due Date
Service Address- your physical address to which electrical service is delivered
Account Number- your customer account number
Cycle- the route to which your home or business belongs
Bill Date- the date when your bill was printed
Due Date- the date when your bill is due


   Total Current Charges
Total Current Charges- self-explanatory
Balance Forward- credit balance on your account
Total Amount Due (CI, US)- self-explanatory



Last Bill
Last Bill Amount, Payments- self-explanatory
Adjustments- any modifications to your previous account balance


    Service Period
Service Period- the time period when your electrical consumption was measured
Days Billed- the number of days of electrical consumption measured
Meter Number- self-explanatory
Current Reading- the number total kilowatt-hours indicated on your meter at the end of the billing cycle
Previous Reading- the number of total kilowatt-hours indicated on your meter at the end of the previous billing cycle
Billing Multiplier- a multiplier based on the class of service to which you belong
KWH Consumed- the number of kilowatt-hours consumed during the billing period


    Total Energy Cost
Total Energy Cost:
Monthly Charge- monthly service charge applied to your account
First 500 or 1,000 kWh, Next 1,500 kWh or Next 28,000kWh- consumption costs as measured by our rate schedule
Fuel Adjustment- the fuel factor cost applied each month
Total Electric- self-explanatory


    Average Cost Per Day
Average cost per day- your total bill divided by the number of days in your billing cycle
