Home Energy Competition:
The Ministry of Commerce, Planning & Infrastructure in conjunction with CUC, as part of the "National Energy Policy” will be providing customers an opportunity to win a grand prize of a home energy makeover worth up to CI$20,000. In addition, the competition will also offer eight Home Energy Audits, worth up to CI$1,900, to other winners. The goal of the competition is to highlight how energy efficiency can create savings on utility bills and demonstrate that customers have the ability to control their utility costs. The competition is part of Energy Cayman, the Ministry of Commerce, Planning and Infrastructure’s 12-month public education campaign to embed energy efficient knowledge and good practice into the Cayman community.
The terms and conditions stipulate that the entrant must own and reside within the home as a single family. Once the competition has concluded, the winner’s property will be assessed and may receive variations of energy efficient appliances & fixtures, smart thermostats, solar water heater and timer, spray foam insulation, LED bulbs and shade trees.
The competition will close for entries on Wednesday, November 18, 2020.
